# §2171. Leases


A lease to a [territory](/usc/48/2104.md?p=20) or [territorial instrumentality](/usc/48/2104.md?p=19-A) shall not be treated as an executory contract or unexpired lease for the purposes of section [365](/usc/11/365.md) or [502(b)(6)](/usc/11/502.md?p=b-6) of title 11 solely by reason of the lease being subject to termination in the event the [debtor](/usc/48/2161.md?p=c-2) fails to appropriate rent.
