# §765c. ITU functions

- (a) **Technical coordination—** The [Commission](/usc/47/702.md?p=10) and United States satellite companies shall utilize the [International Telecommunication Union](/usc/47/769.md?p=a-6) procedures for technical coordination with [INTELSAT](/usc/47/769.md?p=a-1) and its [successor entities](/usc/47/769.md?p=a-7) and [separated entities](/usc/47/769.md?p=a-8), rather than [INTELSAT](/usc/47/769.md?p=a-1) procedures.
- (b) **ITU notifying administration—** The President and the [Commission](/usc/47/702.md?p=10) shall take the action necessary to ensure that the United States remains the ITU notifying [administration](/usc/47/702.md?p=9) for the privatized [INTELSAT](/usc/47/769.md?p=a-1)’s existing and future orbital slot registrations.
