# §324. Use of minimum power


In all circumstances, except in case of [radio communications](/usc/47/153.md?p=40) or signals relating to [vessels](/usc/47/153.md?p=46-A) in distress, all [radio stations](/usc/47/153.md?p=42), including those owned and operated by the [United States](/usc/47/153.md?p=58), shall use the minimum amount of power necessary to carry out the communication desired.
