# §1412. Flexible use of narrowband spectrum


The [Commission](/usc/47/1401.md?p=11) may allow the [narrowband spectrum](/usc/47/1401.md?p=20) to be used in a flexible manner, including usage for public safety broadband communications, subject to such technical and interference protection measures as the [Commission](/usc/47/1401.md?p=11) may require.
