# §80502. Application of Convention


The [Convention](/usc/46/80501.md?p=2) applies to an [owner](/usc/46/80501.md?p=4) of a [container](/usc/46/80501.md?p=1) used in [international transport](/usc/46/80501.md?p=3) if the [owner](/usc/46/80501.md?p=4) is domiciled or has its principal office in the United States.
