# §53516. Termination of agreement after change in regulations


If, after an [agreement](/usc/46/53201.md?p=8) has been made under this chapter, a change is made either in the [joint regulations](/usc/46/53501.md?p=3) or in the regulations prescribed by the [Secretary](/usc/46/53101.md?p=8) under this chapter that could have a substantial effect on the rights or duties of a [person](/usc/46/53101.md?p=6) maintaining a fund under this chapter, that [person](/usc/46/53101.md?p=6) may terminate the [agreement](/usc/46/53201.md?p=8).
