# §1344. Status of Conrail after sale


The [Corporation](/usc/45/1303.md?p=5) shall be a [rail carrier](/usc/45/1104.md?p=6) as defined in [section 10102 of title 49](/usc/49/10102.md), notwithstanding this subchapter.
