# §2202. Ownership of Presidential records


The United States shall reserve and retain complete ownership, possession, and control of [Presidential records](/usc/44/2201.md?p=2); and such [records](/usc/44/2901.md?p=1) shall be administered in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
