# §390xx. Validation of contracts entered into prior to October 1, 1981


The provisions of any [contract](/usc/43/390bb.md?p=1) entered into prior to October 1, 1981, by the [Secretary](/usc/43/390bb.md?p=11) with a [district](/usc/43/390bb.md?p=2), which define [project](/usc/43/390bb.md?p=8) or nonproject water, or describe the delivery of [project](/usc/43/390bb.md?p=8) water through nonproject facilities or nonproject water through [project](/usc/43/390bb.md?p=8) facilities to lands within the [district](/usc/43/390bb.md?p=2), are hereby authorized and validated on the part of the United States.
