# §390h–12j. Orange County Regional Water Reclamation Project

- (a) **Authorization—** The [Secretary](/usc/43/31b.md?p=7), in cooperation with the appropriate [State](/usc/43/31b.md?p=8) and local authorities, is authorized to participate in the design, planning, and construction of the Orange County Regional Water [Reclamation Project](/usc/43/373c.md?p=2), to reclaim and reuse water within the service area of the Orange County Water District in California.
- (b) **Cost share—** The Federal share of the cost of a project described in [subsection (a)](#a) shall not exceed 25 percent of the total cost.
- (c) **Limitation—** The [Secretary](/usc/43/31b.md?p=7) shall not provide funds for the operation or maintenance of a project described in [subsection (a)](#a).
