# §390ff. Certification of compliance


As a condition to the receipt of [irrigation water](/usc/43/390bb.md?p=5) for lands in a [district](/usc/43/390bb.md?p=2) which has a [contract](/usc/43/390bb.md?p=1) as specified in [section 390cc of this title](/usc/43/390cc.md), each landowner and lessee within such [district](/usc/43/390bb.md?p=2) shall furnish the [district](/usc/43/390bb.md?p=2), in a form prescribed by the [Secretary](/usc/43/390bb.md?p=11), a certificate that they are in compliance with the provisions of this subchapter including a statement of the number of acres leased, the term of any lease, and a certification that the rent paid reflects the reasonable value of the [irrigation water](/usc/43/390bb.md?p=5) to the productivity of the land. The [Secretary](/usc/43/390bb.md?p=11) may require any lessee to submit to him, for his examination, a complete copy of any such lease executed by each of the parties thereto.
