# §316c. Alteration of grazing districts


After any [district](/usc/43/316a.md?p=2) is established the area embraced therein may be altered in any of the following ways:

- (1) The [Secretary](/usc/43/316a.md?p=3) may add to such [districts](/usc/43/316a.md?p=2) any public lands which, in his opinion, should be made a part of the [district](/usc/43/316a.md?p=2).
- (2) The [Secretary](/usc/43/316a.md?p=3), subject to existing rights of any [lessee](/usc/43/316a.md?p=4), may exclude from such [district](/usc/43/316a.md?p=2) any lands which he determines are no longer valuable for grazing purposes or are more valuable for other purposes.
- (3) The [Secretary](/usc/43/316a.md?p=3) may enter into cooperative agreement with any [person](/usc/43/316a.md?p=1), in respect of the administration, as a part of a [district](/usc/43/316a.md?p=2), of lands owned by such [person](/usc/43/316a.md?p=1) which are contiguous or adjacent to such [district](/usc/43/316a.md?p=2) or any part thereof.
