# §2811. Private sector


The [Committee](/usc/43/2801.md?p=2) and each [covered agency](/usc/43/2801.md?p=3) may, to the maximum extent practical, rely upon and use the private sector in the United States for the provision of [geospatial data](/usc/43/2801.md?p=5) and services.
