# §2408. Authorization of appropriations

- (a) **In general—** There is authorized to be appropriated to carry out this subchapter $15,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2007 through 2016, to remain available until expended.
- (b) **Rural water programs assessment—** Of the amounts made available under [subsection (a)](#a), not more than $1,000,000 may be made available to carry out [section 2403 of this title](/usc/43/2403.md) for each of fiscal years 2007 and 2008.
- (c) **Construction costs—** No amounts made available under this section shall be used to pay [construction](/usc/43/2401.md?p=1) costs associated with any [rural water supply project](/usc/43/2401.md?p=9-A).
