# §1748a–1. Request for additional wildfire suppression funds


If the amount provided for wildfire suppression operations for that fiscal year will be exhausted within 30 calendar days, the [Secretary](/usc/43/1702.md?p=g) of the Interior or the [Secretary](/usc/43/1702.md?p=g) of Agriculture (as applicable), in consultation with the [Director](/usc/43/31b.md?p=3) of the Office of Management and Budget, shall promptly submit a request to Congress for supplemental appropriations.
