# §9873. Payments under allotments to States


The [Secretary](/usc/42/9877.md?p=9) shall make payments, as provided by [section 6503(a) of title 31](/usc/31/6503.md?p=a), to each [State](/usc/42/9877.md?p=10) from its allotments under [section 9872 of this title](/usc/42/9872.md) from amounts appropriated under [section 9871 of this title](/usc/42/9871.md).
