# §8277. Advisory committee

- (a) **Establishment—** There is hereby established an [advisory committee](/usc/42/17061.md?p=2) to assist the [Secretary](/usc/42/8241.md?p=6) in the establishment and conduct of the programs established under this part.
- (b) **Membership—** Such committee shall be composed of the [Secretary](/usc/42/8241.md?p=6) of Defense, the [Secretary](/usc/42/8241.md?p=6) of Housing and Urban Development, the [Administrator](/usc/42/4005.md?p=1) of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the [Administrator](/usc/42/4005.md?p=1) of the General Services Administration, the [Secretary](/usc/42/8241.md?p=6) of Transportation, the [Administrator](/usc/42/4005.md?p=1) of the Small Business Administration, the chairman of the Federal Trade Commission, the Postmaster General, and such other persons as the [Secretary](/usc/42/8241.md?p=6) deems necessary. The [Secretary](/usc/42/8241.md?p=6) shall appoint such other nongovernmental persons to the extent necessary to assure that the membership of the committee will be fairly balanced in terms of the point of view represented and the functions to be performed by the committee.
- (c) **Termination—** The [advisory committee](/usc/42/17061.md?p=2) shall terminate October 1, 1981.
