# §8242. Federal solar program


The [Secretary](/usc/42/8241.md?p=6), in consultation with the [Administrator](/usc/42/4005.md?p=1) of the General Services Administration, shall develop and carry out a program to demonstrate the application to buildings of [solar heating](/usc/42/8241.md?p=3) and [solar heating and cooling](/usc/42/8241.md?p=4) technology in [Federal buildings](/usc/42/8241.md?p=2).
