# §7299. Transition


With the consent of the appropriate department or [agency](/usc/42/8262.md?p=1) head concerned, the [Secretary](/usc/42/7385s.md?p=3) is authorized to utilize the services of such officers, employees, and other personnel of the departments and [agencies](/usc/42/8262.md?p=1) from which functions have been transferred to the [Secretary](/usc/42/7385s.md?p=3) for such period of time as may reasonably be needed to facilitate the orderly transfer of functions under this chapter.
