# §5408. Cooperation by Secretary with public and private agencies


The [Secretary](/usc/42/5402.md?p=11) is authorized to advise, assist, and cooperate with other Federal [agencies](/usc/42/8262.md?p=1) and with [State](/usc/42/5402.md?p=12) and other interested public and private [agencies](/usc/42/8262.md?p=1), in the planning and development of—

- (1) [manufactured home construction](/usc/42/5402.md?p=1) and safety standards;
- (2) methods for inspecting and testing to determine compliance with [manufactured home](/usc/42/5402.md?p=6) standards; and
- (3) model guidance to support the submission of the certification required under [section 5403(i) of this title](/usc/42/5403.md?p=i).
