# §5197e. Authorization of appropriations and transfers of funds

- (a) **Authorization of appropriations—** There are authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this subchapter.
- (b) **Transfer authority—** Funds made available for the purposes of this subchapter may be allocated or transferred for any of the purposes of this subchapter, with the approval of the [Director](/usc/42/11851.md?p=5) of the Office of Management and Budget, to any [agency](/usc/42/8262.md?p=1) or government [corporation](/usc/42/2297h.md?p=2) designated to assist in carrying out this subchapter. Each such [allocation](/usc/42/2021b.md?p=2) or transfer shall be reported in full detail to the Congress within 30 days after such [allocation](/usc/42/2021b.md?p=2) or transfer.
