# §5197d. Applicability of subchapter


The provisions of this subchapter shall be applicable to the [United States](/usc/42/5122.md?p=3), its [States](/usc/42/5195a.md?p=a-9), Territories and possessions, and the District of Columbia, and their political subdivisions.
