# §4632. Administration; relocation assistance in programs receiving Federal financial assistance


In order to prevent unnecessary expenses and duplications of functions, and to promote uniform and effective administration of relocation assistance programs for [displaced persons](/usc/42/4601.md?p=6-A) under sections [4626](/usc/42/4626.md), [4630](/usc/42/4630.md), and [4635](/usc/42/4635.md) of this title, a [State agency](/usc/42/4601.md?p=3) may enter into contracts with any individual, firm, association, or [corporation](/usc/42/2297h.md?p=2) for services in connection with such programs, or may carry out its functions under this subchapter through any Federal or [State](/usc/42/4601.md?p=2) governmental [agency](/usc/42/8262.md?p=1) or instrumentality having an established organization for conducting relocation assistance programs. Such [State agency](/usc/42/4601.md?p=3) shall, in carrying out the relocation assistance activities described in [section 4626 of this title](/usc/42/4626.md), whenever practicable, utilize the services of [State](/usc/42/4601.md?p=2) or local housing [agencies](/usc/42/8262.md?p=1), or other [agencies](/usc/42/8262.md?p=1) having experience in the administration or conduct of similar [housing assistance](/usc/42/13641.md?p=3) activities.
