# §4370a. Assistant Administrators of Environmental Protection Agency; appointment; duties

- (a) The President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, may appoint three Assistant [Administrators](/usc/42/4005.md?p=1) of the Environmental Protection [Agency](/usc/42/8262.md?p=1) in addition to—
  - (1) the five Assistant [Administrators](/usc/42/4005.md?p=1) provided for in section 1(d) of Reorganization Plan Numbered 3 of 1970 (5 U.S.C. Appendix);
  - (2) the Assistant [Administrator](/usc/42/4005.md?p=1) provided by [section 2625(g) of title 15](/usc/15/2625.md?p=g); and
  - (3) the Assistant [Administrator](/usc/42/4005.md?p=1) provided by [section 6911a of this title](/usc/42/6911a.md).
- (b) Each Assistant [Administrator](/usc/42/4005.md?p=1) appointed under [subsection (a)](#a) shall perform such duties as the [Administrator](/usc/42/4005.md?p=1) of the Environmental Protection [Agency](/usc/42/8262.md?p=1) may prescribe.
