# §3058cc. Administration


A [State agency](/usc/42/3002.md?p=52) may carry out [vulnerable elder rights protection activities](/usc/42/3058bb.md?p=2) either directly or through contracts or agreements with public or [nonprofit](/usc/42/3002.md?p=39) private [agencies](/usc/42/8262.md?p=1) or organizations, such as—

- (1) other [State agencies](/usc/42/3002.md?p=52);
- (2) area [agencies](/usc/42/8262.md?p=1) on aging;
- (3) county governments;
- (4) institutions of higher education;
- (5) [Indian tribes](/usc/42/3002.md?p=27); or
- (6) [nonprofit](/usc/42/3002.md?p=39) service providers or volunteer organizations.
