# §297i. Procedures for appeal of terminations


In any case in which the [Secretary](/usc/42/201.md?p=c) intends to terminate an agreement with a [school](/usc/42/300j–21.md?p=6) of nursing under this part, the [Secretary](/usc/42/201.md?p=c) shall provide the [school](/usc/42/300j–21.md?p=6) with a written notice specifying such intention and stating that the [school](/usc/42/300j–21.md?p=6) may request a formal hearing with respect to such termination. If the [school](/usc/42/300j–21.md?p=6) requests such a hearing within 30 days after the receipt of such notice, the [Secretary](/usc/42/201.md?p=c) shall provide such [school](/usc/42/300j–21.md?p=6) with a hearing conducted by an administrative law judge.
