# §2371. Transfer of utilities


The [Commission](/usc/42/2304.md?p=a) is authorized to transfer to one or more of the entities specified in this subchapter such [utilities](/usc/42/2304.md?p=l) as in the judgment of the [Commission](/usc/42/2304.md?p=a) will be appropriate to enable the transferee to meet the needs of the [residents](/usc/42/2304.md?p=k) of the [community](/usc/42/2304.md?p=b) for adequate [utility](/usc/42/2304.md?p=l) services of the kind to be transferred.
