# §2296b–4. Annual uranium purchase reports

- (a) **In general—** By January 1 of each year, the [owner](/usc/42/13641.md?p=4) or [operator](/usc/42/2014.md?p=r) of any civilian nuclear power reactor shall report to the [Secretary](/usc/42/242q–4.md?p=2), acting through the [Administrator](/usc/42/4005.md?p=1) of the Energy Information Administration, for activities of the previous fiscal year—
  - (1) the [country of origin](/usc/42/2296b–7.md?p=2) and the seller of any uranium or enriched uranium purchased or imported into the [United States](/usc/42/2014.md?p=bb) either directly or indirectly by such [owner](/usc/42/13641.md?p=4) or [operator](/usc/42/2014.md?p=r); and
  - (2) the [country of origin](/usc/42/2296b–7.md?p=2) and the seller of any enrichment services purchased by such [owner](/usc/42/13641.md?p=4) or [operator](/usc/42/2014.md?p=r).
- (b) **Congressional access—** The information provided to the [Secretary](/usc/42/242q–4.md?p=2) pursuant to this section shall be made available to the Congress by March 1 of each year.
