# §2296a–2. Authorization of appropriations

- (a) **In general—** There is authorized to be appropriated $715,000,000 to carry out this part. The aggregate amount authorized in the preceding sentence shall be increased annually as provided in [section 2296a of this title](/usc/42/2296a.md), based upon an inflation index to be determined by the [Secretary](/usc/42/242q–4.md?p=2).
- (b) **Source—** Funds described in [subsection (a)](#a) shall be provided from the Fund established under [section 2297g of this title](/usc/42/2297g.md).
