# §2286l. Authority of Inspector General


Notwithstanding any other provision of law, in this fiscal year and each fiscal year thereafter, the Inspector General of the Nuclear Regulatory [Commission](/usc/42/2014.md?p=f) is authorized to exercise the same authorities with respect to the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board, as determined by the Inspector General of the Nuclear Regulatory [Commission](/usc/42/2014.md?p=f), as the Inspector General exercises under [chapter 4](/usc/5/chptI/ch4.md) of title 5 with respect to the Nuclear Regulatory [Commission](/usc/42/2014.md?p=f).
