# §19032. Chief of Research Security


The [Director](/usc/42/18921.md?p=1) shall appoint a senior [agency](/usc/42/8262.md?p=1) official within the Office of the [Director](/usc/42/18921.md?p=1) as a Chief of Research Security, whose primary responsibility shall be to manage the office established under [section 19031 of this title](/usc/42/19031.md).
