# §16457. Effect on other regulations


Nothing in this part precludes the [Commission](/usc/42/16451.md?p=3) or a [State commission](/usc/42/16451.md?p=15) from exercising its jurisdiction under otherwise applicable law to protect utility [customers](/usc/42/7275.md?p=5).
