# §1583. Redetermination of demountable housing as temporary or permanent


With respect to any [housing](/usc/42/1590.md?p=b) classified, prior to April 20, 1950, by the [Secretary](/usc/42/242q–4.md?p=2) of [Housing](/usc/42/1590.md?p=b) and Urban Development as demountable, the [Secretary](/usc/42/242q–4.md?p=2) of [Housing](/usc/42/1590.md?p=b) and Urban Development shall, as soon as practicable but not later in any event than December 31, 1950, and after consultation with the communities affected, redetermine (taking into consideration local standards and conditions) whether such [housing](/usc/42/1590.md?p=b) is of a temporary or permanent character, and after such redetermination shall dispose of such [housing](/usc/42/1590.md?p=b) in accordance with the provisions of this subchapter.
