# §14913. Responsibilities of the Attorney General


In addition to such other responsibilities as are specifically conferred upon the [Attorney General](/usc/42/14902.md?p=6) by this chapter, the [central authority functions](/usc/42/14902.md?p=8) specified in Article 14 of the [Convention](/usc/42/14902.md?p=9) (relating to the filing of applications by prospective adoptive parents to the [central authority](/usc/42/14902.md?p=7) of their country of residence) shall be performed by the [Attorney General](/usc/42/14902.md?p=6).
