# §13105. Source Reduction Clearinghouse

- (a) **Authority—** The [Administrator](/usc/42/13102.md?p=1) shall establish a [Source Reduction](/usc/42/13102.md?p=5-A) Clearinghouse to compile information including a computer data base which contains information on management, technical, and operational approaches to [source reduction](/usc/42/13102.md?p=5-A). The [Administrator](/usc/42/13102.md?p=1) shall use the clearinghouse to—
  - (1) serve as a center for [source reduction](/usc/42/13102.md?p=5-A) technology transfer;
  - (2) mount active outreach and education programs by the [States](/usc/42/2021b.md?p=14) to further the adoption of [source reduction](/usc/42/13102.md?p=5-A) technologies; and
  - (3) collect and compile information reported by [States](/usc/42/2021b.md?p=14) receiving grants under [section 13104 of this title](/usc/42/13104.md) on the operation and success of [State](/usc/42/2021b.md?p=14) [source reduction](/usc/42/13102.md?p=5-A) programs.
- (b) **Public availability—** The [Administrator](/usc/42/13102.md?p=1) shall make available to the public such information on [source reduction](/usc/42/13102.md?p=5-A) as is gathered pursuant to this chapter and such other pertinent information and analysis regarding [source reduction](/usc/42/13102.md?p=5-A) as may be available to the [Administrator](/usc/42/13102.md?p=1). The data base shall permit entry and retrieval of information to any person.
