# §12376. Definitions


For purposes of this subchapter—

- (1) the term “Conference” means the 1993 White House Conference on Children, [Youth](#2), and Families; and
- (2) the terms “child”, “youth”, and “young individual” means[^1] an individual who is less than 21 years of age.
