# §11316. Transfer of functions

- (a) **Transfers from HHS Task Force—** The [Council](/usc/42/11317.md?p=1) shall be the successor to the Federal [Task Force](/usc/42/242q–4.md?p=3) on the [Homeless](/usc/42/11302.md?p=a) of the Department of Health and Human Services. The property, records, and undistributed program funds of the [Task Force](/usc/42/242q–4.md?p=3) shall be transferred to the [Council](/usc/42/11317.md?p=1).
- (b) **Termination of HHS Task Force—** The [Secretary](/usc/42/11371.md?p=7) of Health and Human Services shall terminate the Federal [Task Force](/usc/42/242q–4.md?p=3) on the [Homeless](/usc/42/11302.md?p=a) of the Department of Health and Human Services as soon as practicable following the first meeting of the [Council](/usc/42/11317.md?p=1).
