# §11152. Reports and memoranda of understanding

- (a) **Annual reports to Congress—** The [Secretary](/usc/42/11151.md?p=12) shall report to Congress, annually during the three years after November 14, 1986, on the implementation of this chapter.
- (b) **Memoranda of understanding—** The [Secretary](/usc/42/11151.md?p=12) of Health and Human Services shall seek to enter into memoranda of understanding with the [Secretary](/usc/42/11151.md?p=12) of Defense and the [Administrator](/usc/42/4005.md?p=1) of Veterans’ Affairs to apply the provisions of subchapter II of this chapter to [hospitals](/usc/42/11151.md?p=5) and other facilities and health care providers under the jurisdiction of the [Secretary](/usc/42/11151.md?p=12) or [Administrator](/usc/42/4005.md?p=1), respectively. The [Secretary](/usc/42/11151.md?p=12) shall report to Congress, not later than two years after November 14, 1986, on any such memoranda and on the cooperation among such officials in establishing such memoranda.
- (c) **Memorandum of understanding with Drug Enforcement Administration—** The [Secretary](/usc/42/11151.md?p=12) of Health and Human Services shall seek to enter into a memorandum of understanding with the [Administrator](/usc/42/4005.md?p=1) of [Drug](/usc/42/11851.md?p=4) Enforcement relating to providing for the reporting by the [Administrator](/usc/42/4005.md?p=1) to the [Secretary](/usc/42/11151.md?p=12) of information respecting [physicians](/usc/42/11151.md?p=8) and other [practitioners](/usc/42/11151.md?p=6) whose registration to dispense [controlled substances](/usc/42/11851.md?p=2) has been suspended or revoked under [section 824 of title 21](/usc/21/824.md). The [Secretary](/usc/42/11151.md?p=12) shall report to Congress, not later than two years after November 14, 1986, on any such memorandum and on the cooperation between the [Secretary](/usc/42/11151.md?p=12) and the [Administrator](/usc/42/4005.md?p=1) in establishing such a memorandum.
