# §10712. Report by Attorney General


Not later than October 1, 2002, the Attorney General, in consultation with the Federal Judicial Center, shall transmit to the Committees on the Judiciary of the Senate and the House of Representatives a report on the effectiveness of the [Institute](/usc/42/10701.md?p=4) in carrying out the duties specified in [section 10702(b) of this title](/usc/42/10702.md?p=b). Such report shall include an assessment of the cost effectiveness of the program as a whole and, to the extent practicable, of individual grants, an assessment of whether the restrictions and limitations specified in sections [10706](/usc/42/10706.md) and [10707](/usc/42/10707.md) of this title have been respected, and such recommendations as the Attorney General, in consultation with the Federal Judicial Center, deems appropriate.
