# §10174. Consideration in siting facilities


The [Secretary](/usc/42/10101.md?p=20), in siting Federal research [projects](/usc/42/13641.md?p=2), shall give special consideration to proposals from [States](/usc/42/10101.md?p=24) where a [repository](/usc/42/10101.md?p=18) is located.
