# §8108. Use of public buildings for public ceremonies


Except as expressly authorized by law, [public buildings](/usc/40/3301.md?p=a-5) in the District of Columbia (other than the Capitol Building and the White House), and the approaches to those [public buildings](/usc/40/3301.md?p=a-5), shall not be used or occupied in connection with ceremonies for the inauguration of the President or other public functions.
