# §17502. Monitoring system


The head of each [executive agency](/usc/40/17501.md?p=1) shall designate one office, officer, or employee of the agency—

- (1) to establish and operate a central monitoring system for the [motor vehicle](/usc/40/17101.md?p=2) operations of the agency, related activities, and related reporting requirements; and
- (2) provide oversight of those operations, activities, and requirements.
