# §203. Postmaster General; Deputy Postmaster General


The chief executive officer of the [Postal Service](/usc/39/102.md?p=1) is the Postmaster General appointed under [section 202(c) of this title](/usc/39/202.md?p=c). The alternate chief executive officer of the [Postal Service](/usc/39/102.md?p=1) is the Deputy Postmaster General appointed under [section 202(d) of this title](/usc/39/202.md?p=d).
