# §7703. Functions of the Administration


The [Veterans](/usc/38/101.md?p=2) Benefits Administration is responsible for the administration of the following programs of the [Department](/usc/38/101.md?p=1):

- (1) [Compensation](/usc/38/101.md?p=13) and [pension](/usc/38/101.md?p=15) programs.
- (2) Vocational rehabilitation and educational assistance programs.
- (3) [Veterans](/usc/38/101.md?p=2)’ housing loan programs.
- (4) [Veterans](/usc/38/101.md?p=2)’ and servicemembers’ life insurance programs.
- (5) Outreach programs and other [veterans](/usc/38/101.md?p=2)’ services programs.
