# §6308. Outreach for eligible dependents

- (a) **Needs of Dependents.—** In carrying out this subchapter, the [Secretary](/usc/38/101.md?p=1) shall ensure that the needs of [eligible dependents](/usc/38/6301.md?p=b-3) are fully addressed.
- (b) **Information as to Availability of Outreach Services for Dependents.—** The [Secretary](/usc/38/101.md?p=1) shall ensure that the availability of [outreach](/usc/38/6301.md?p=b-1) services and assistance for [eligible dependents](/usc/38/6301.md?p=b-3) under this subchapter is made known through a variety of means, including the Internet, announcements in [veterans](/usc/38/101.md?p=2) publications, and announcements to the media.
