# §6306. Use of other agencies

- (a) In carrying out this subchapter, the [Secretary](/usc/38/101.md?p=1) shall arrange with the [Secretary](/usc/38/101.md?p=1) of Labor for the [State](/usc/38/101.md?p=20) employment service to match the particular qualifications of an [eligible veteran](/usc/38/3452.md?p=a-1) or [eligible dependent](/usc/38/6301.md?p=b-3) with an appropriate job or job training opportunity, including, where possible, arrangements for outstationing the [State](/usc/38/101.md?p=20) employment personnel who provide such assistance at appropriate facilities of the [Department](/usc/38/101.md?p=1).
- (b) In carrying out this subchapter, the [Secretary](/usc/38/101.md?p=1) shall, in consultation with the [Secretary](/usc/38/101.md?p=1) of Labor, actively seek to promote the development and establishment of employment opportunities, training opportunities, and other opportunities for [veterans](/usc/38/101.md?p=2), with particular emphasis on the needs of [veterans](/usc/38/101.md?p=2) with [service-connected](/usc/38/101.md?p=16) disabilities and other [eligible veterans](/usc/38/3452.md?p=a-1), taking into account applicable rates of unemployment and the employment emphases set forth in [chapter 42](/usc/38/chptIII/ch42.md) of this title.
- (c) In carrying out this subchapter, the [Secretary](/usc/38/101.md?p=1) shall cooperate with and use the services of any Federal [department](/usc/38/101.md?p=1) or agency or any [State](/usc/38/101.md?p=20) or local governmental agency or recognized national or other organization.
- (d) In carrying out this subchapter, the [Secretary](/usc/38/101.md?p=1) shall, where appropriate, make referrals to any Federal [department](/usc/38/101.md?p=1) or agency or [State](/usc/38/101.md?p=20) or local governmental unit or recognized national or other organization.
- (e) In carrying out this subchapter, the [Secretary](/usc/38/101.md?p=1) may furnish available space and office facilities for the use of authorized representatives of such governmental unit or other organization providing services.
- (f) In carrying out this subchapter, the [Secretary](/usc/38/101.md?p=1) shall conduct and provide for studies, in consultation with appropriate Federal [departments](/usc/38/101.md?p=1) and agencies, to determine the most effective program design to carry out the purposes of this subchapter.
