# §6305. Outstationing of counseling and outreach personnel


The [Secretary](/usc/38/101.md?p=1) may station employees of the [Department](/usc/38/101.md?p=1) at locations other than [Department](/usc/38/101.md?p=1) offices, including [educational institutions](/usc/38/3452.md?p=c), to provide—

- (1) counseling and other assistance regarding benefits under this title to [veterans](/usc/38/101.md?p=2) and other persons eligible for benefits under this title; and
- (2) [outreach](/usc/38/6301.md?p=b-1) services under this subchapter.
