# §206a. Pay of members of reserve components for inactive-duty training to obtain or maintain an aeronautical rating or designation


Under regulations prescribed by the [Secretary concerned](/usc/37/101.md?p=5), a [member](/usc/37/101.md?p=23) of the [National Guard](/usc/37/101.md?p=6) or a [member](/usc/37/101.md?p=23) of a [reserve component](/usc/37/101.md?p=24) of a uniformed service who is receiving aviation incentive [pay](/usc/37/101.md?p=21) under [section 334(a) of this title](/usc/37/334.md?p=a) and is entitled to compensation under [section 206 of this title](/usc/37/206.md) is entitled to such compensation for a number of periods of [inactive-duty training](/usc/37/101.md?p=22) each month sufficient for the [member](/usc/37/101.md?p=23) to obtain or maintain an aeronautical [rating](/usc/37/101.md?p=17) or designation.
