# §50102. Organization

- (a) **Federal Charter.—** Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861–1865 (in this chapter, the “[corporation](/usc/36/220501.md?p=b-7)”), a nonprofit [corporation](/usc/36/220501.md?p=b-7) incorporated in Ohio, is a federally chartered [corporation](/usc/36/220501.md?p=b-7).
- (b) **Expiration of Charter.—** If the [corporation](/usc/36/220501.md?p=b-7) does not comply with any provision of this chapter, the charter granted by this chapter expires.
