# §20301. Organization

- (a) **Federal Charter.—** American Academy of Arts and Letters (in this chapter, the “[corporation](/usc/36/220501.md?p=b-7)”) is a federally chartered [corporation](/usc/36/220501.md?p=b-7).
- (b) **Place of Incorporation.—** The [corporation](/usc/36/220501.md?p=b-7) is declared to be incorporated in the District of Columbia.
